1. Kashf al-Shubuhāt (Removal of the Doubts)

Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab

Overview:
Kashf al-Shubuhāt is a powerful treatise aimed at addressing and dismantling the common doubts and misconceptions people raise to justify acts of shirk (associating partners with Allah). The book is grounded in Qur’anic verses, Prophetic traditions, and rational arguments, and serves as a response to those who claim love for Allah and the Prophet ﷺ while engaging in un-Islamic practices such as grave worship or supplicating to saints.

Purpose:
Its primary objective is to clarify that true Tawheed (monotheism) entails directing all forms of worship to Allah alone. The book systematically breaks down the shubuhāt (doubts) that have crept into Muslim belief and practice, and offers responses that are both scriptural and intellectually sound.

2. Al-Kabā’ir (The Major Sins)

Imam adh-Dhahabi

Overview:
Al-Kabā’ir is a seminal work that lists and explains the major sins in Islam, actions that incur the wrath of Allah and His punishment, unless one repents. Imam adh-Dhahabi compiled this book to awaken the conscience of the believer and remind them of the gravity of falling into major sins, such as lying, interest (riba), murder, backbiting, and neglecting prayer.

Purpose:
This book acts as both a warning and a guide for self-reform. Each sin is supported with Qur’anic and hadith evidence, helping the reader understand not only what the major sins are, but also the spiritual, social, and legal consequences they carry. It’s a vital read for anyone serious about purifying their soul and living a life of obedience to Allah.

3. Fiqh of Nikah (Jurisprudence of Marriage)

Various Scholars Based on Classical and Contemporary Sources

Overview:
The Fiqh of Nikah is a foundational subject in Islamic jurisprudence that governs the rules, rights, and responsibilities surrounding marriage. It covers topics such as the conditions of a valid marriage contract, the rights and obligations of both spouses, mahr (bridal gift), issues of consent, guardianship (wilāyah), and the ethics of intimacy.

Purpose:
This area of fiqh is not merely academic. It directly impacts the lives of Muslims. Understanding the rulings related to nikah helps protect the sanctity of the family structure, promote harmony between spouses, and ensure the marital bond is based on justice and mutual respect. The subject also touches upon issues like divorce, reconciliation, and the rights of children, offering a holistic view of family life in Islam.

4. Tafsīr of Juz ‘Amma (Explanation of the Last Part of the Qur’an)

Various Classical and Contemporary Scholars

Overview:
The Tafsīr of Juz ‘Amma focuses on the 30th part (juz) of the Qur’an, which contains short yet powerful surahs frequently recited in daily prayers. These surahs are rich in themes such as the Day of Judgment, the signs of Allah’s creation, the contrast between belief and disbelief, and moral and spiritual accountability.

Purpose:
This tafsir serves as a gateway for beginners and seasoned students alike to deepen their understanding of the Qur’an. By studying the meanings, context, and messages behind these chapters, one gains a stronger connection to what they recite in prayer and a clearer awareness of the core principles of Islam, Tawheed, Prophethood, and the Hereafter.
